One of the hardest aspects of meeting public demand is remaining in good attire, specific to the appropriate presidential period. Furthermore, should one spill a mug of good rum smash on his breeches he may find it’s good to own more than one pair. And so, on more than one occasion I have had a lad of 10 or 11 years in age say, “Mr. Washington, at which dry goods store do you obtain your spledifurously tailored clothing?” With that in mind, I though I would suggest a few …

A welcome message from our nation’s first president to prospective new Society members.
Consistent with Society goals, invitations to prospective Society members were mailed earlier this week. A hearty “welcome” to our new members.
There are several new and exciting aspects to our Presidents Day 2009 festivities. One of these is a planned visit to the Colorado State Capitol. While it’s still up in the air, we can’t imagine a group of politicians not recognizing the significance of this holiday or a group of patriots such as ourselves.

In the spring of 1941, Kennedy volunteered for the U.S. Army, but was rejected, mainly because of his troublesome back. Nevertheless, in September of that year, the U.S. Navy accepted him, because of the influence of the director of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), a former naval attaché to the Ambassador, his father. WASHINGTON (AP) — An entire generation has gone by since the nation last saw this tableau of American history: every living U.S. president together at the White House.
Consider it time for a reunion among the members of one of the world’s most elite clubs, plus the one man about to join it — Barack Obama.
Picking up on an idea from Obama, President George W. Bush on Wednesday was hosting a lunch for the incoming president and the three former presidents: Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter. It will …

Fellow-Citizens of the Senate and of the House of Representatives,
Among the vicissitudes incident to life no event could have filled me with greater anxieties than that of which the notification was transmitted by your order, and received on the 14th day of the present month. On the one hand, I was summoned by my country, whose voice I can never hear but with veneration and love, from a retreat which I had chosen with the fondest predilection, and, in my flattering hopes, with an immutable decision, as the asylum …
