Although 2009 proved another successful installment of our Presidents Day activities, one area we vowed to improve on for 2010 was transportation.  Even the gallant George Washington has trouble looking presidential getting in and out of a taxi, let alone Mr. Roosevelt.  And so, for 2010, you may see the Presidents Day Society traveling betwixt local public houses in a beautiful limo bus.

One might exclaim, “There were no limo buses in the 18th century!” and that gentleman would be right.  However, presidents have been known throughout history for adopting new technologies to help spread their message.  Whether it was Mr. Roosevelt and his fireside chats on the radio or Mr. Obama and his BlackBerry, presidents are frequent and early adopters of new technology.

And so, this Presidents Day, our Society will be enjoying numerous amenities while traveling about town.  Our good friends at Wild West Limos will be chauffeuring us in a state of the art limo-bus which includes a plasma TV screen, fog machine, 10,000 watt stereo (don’t tell Woodrow Wilson he hates loud music!), and yes, a laser light show.  When you see fog roll out the doors, lasers-a-plenty, and lots of white hair it will not be the Allman Brothers, but in fact your favorite national leaders.
