Taft the Father of Modern Bourbon?

While we are all familiar with our George Washington and his Whiskey Rebellion, few know about the contribution our 27th President gave to “America’s Native Spirit.”  The next time you bend an elbow with a glass of straight, blended or imitation; you can toast the big guy from Ohio.

  • Thomas Jefferson said:

Taft could also be considered the father of recreational golf in the United States. He was the first President to play golf and while some thought that it was immoral to play the game as President others followed in his footsteps as many historians attribute the golf boom in the United States to Taft public love for the game.
